Let's get one thing straight. I am fucking provocative.

Not because I want to be, but because I just am. I cuss, a lot. I grew up in kitchens and construction sites listening to the best of the best talk shit. It's no wonder that I'm a straightforward, tell it like it is kind of guy. I love big, bold flavors as much as I love making people laugh.

This blog is going to serve a few different purposes for you and I. My goal is to pass along a few things that I've picked up over the years of hanging around the stoves and spice racks of local kitchens and hopefully help you in your cooking. Somedays there will be stories about the hilarity that takes place in the restaurant biz. Other days we will be talking about the how and why of spices and blends and why they do and don't work sometimes.
