Berbere is the essential Ethiopian spice blend. This true to it's roots version is great as a dry rub for meat, grain and lentil dishes.
What we love most about berbere is to mix the blend with cooking oil to make a paste that coats your whole protein or is a great bread dip.
Try adding a few tablespoons to a few cups of tomato paste and vegetable or chicken stock and simmer for a few hours for an amazing broth.
