Ceylon Cinnamon Sticks

Ceylon cinnamon is also known as "true cinnamon" this Sir Lankan cinnamon is sweeter and richer than it's Vietnamese cousin. Ceylon Cinnamon is less spicy and more complex, subtle, fragrant and citrusy.  

Did you know that cinnamon is actually the inner bark of a tree? It is peeled back when it is still a little bit wet, laid out to dry and then rolled during the process.

Ceylon is tan-brown in color and contains many tight sticks with soft layers. These features provide a highly desirable quality and texture.

Ceylon cinnamon is less common and has long been prized as a cooking spice. It’s described as having a delicate and mildly sweet flavor perfect for desserts.
