Ingredients
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
½ cup granulated sugar
-
1 ½ tsp baking powder
-
¼ tsp salt
-
2 tsp TSG French Toast Blend
-
½ cup whole milk
-
1 large egg
-
2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
¾ cup powdered sugar [for glaze]
-
2 Tbsp pure maple syrup [for glaze]
-
1 Tbsp milk (plus more if needed for consistency) [for glaze]
-
¼ tsp TSG French Toast Blend (for topping)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
Lightly grease a mini donut pan (or regular donut pan).
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and French Toast Blend.
In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir gently with a spatula until just combined (do not overmix).
Transfer batter into a piping bag (or zip-top bag with a corner snipped off) and pipe batter into prepared wells about ¾ full.
Bake 8–10 minutes (mini donuts) or 12–14 minutes (standard donuts), until lightly golden and springy to the touch.
Let donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Make glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, maple syrup, and milk until smooth and pourable.
Adjust with more milk or sugar as needed.
Dip each donut halfway into the glaze, let excess drip off, then place on a parchment-lined surface.
While glaze is still wet, lightly sprinkle a pinch of French Toast Blend over the top for a warm finish.
Let set for 10 minutes before serving.
