Ingredients
-
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
-
1 cup brown sugar
-
1 large egg
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 cup all-purpose flour
-
1 ½ tsp The Spice Guy’s Chai Spice Blend
-
½ tsp baking powder
-
¼ tsp salt
-
Optional: ½ cup white chocolate chips or chopped pecans
Directions
Preheat & Prep: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
Brown the Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it turns golden and smells nutty (about 5–7 minutes). Remove from heat and cool slightly.
Mix Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together brown butter, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
Add the Dry: In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and The Spice Guy’s Chai Spice Blend. Slowly mix dry ingredients into the wet until fully incorporated.
Customize It (Optional): Fold in white chocolate chips or pecans if using.
Bake: Pour batter into the pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25 minutes or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool & Cut: Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before slicing into squares.
Recipe Note
Make It Extra: Sprinkle a pinch of Chai Spice Blend and flaky sea salt on top before baking for a pro touch.
Freezer Tip: These blondies freeze beautifully—wrap them tightly and store for up to 2 months.
Serving Suggestion: Warm them up and serve with vanilla ice cream or a chai latte (bonus points for using The Spice Guy’s blend in the drink too!).
